In order to carry out psychometric profiling the assessor must be certified with competence in psychological testing, and have the ability to interpret the results accordingly. Personality Profiling is used to assist you match your personality to a particular career/s. They help you decide if the person and the job/career fit together. Unlike ability tests, there are no 'right' and 'wrong' answers in personality tests. They are structured personality questionnaires which require you to respond to a number of questions or statements. Your responses give an indication of such things as your attitudes to work, your ability to get on with others, your motivation, your determination, your perseverance, your social skills, and your preferred working styles.

Ability testing can help to determine what subjects or tasks a person is good at. These tests can help define a person's strengths and weaknesses. A cognitive ability test is designed to measure either your general intelligence or your mental aptitude in a particular area.
